Our Esther Yewpick Lee Millennium Scholar

Congratulations to our alumna, Ma Ming Yan!  We are thrilled to hear that Carissa has won the 2015 scholarship. A graduate of our Toastmasters Leadership Programme, former debater on our school team and performer in our 110th anniversary musical, "Alice", she was in the pioneer cohort that took the HKDSE, before going on to complete a B.A. degree at CUHK.  We wish her all the best in her future endeavours.

Lee Hysan Foundation Scholarship 2016

Chui Cheuk Lam (2E) won the 5-year Lee Hysan Scholarship in late October 2015. This will fund her studies at the prestigious Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia, through Year 8 to 12. Apart from covering all expenses on education, boarding and transport (4 return flights to HK per year), this dream scholarship will offer Cheuk Lam guardian care during school breaks and countless other opportunities for exposure. 馬詠茹校友 - 首屆多元卓越獎學金得主

民政事務局於於2014年設立多元卓越獎學金(下稱「獎學金」)以鼓勵多元卓越文化。「獎學金」將資助大學和專上院校由2015/16學年起,每年錄取約20名在體育、藝術及/或社會服務等方面有卓越表現的本地學生,修讀學士學位課程。校友馬詠茹小姐(2015年中六畢業) 奪得首屆多元卓越獎學金。詠茹是滾軸溜冰及單車的港隊代表,去年全港公路單車賽獲全場總冠軍。詠茹得到獎學金後,獲推薦入讀中大酒店及旅遊管理學。

Our aspiring writers

Congratulations to Cheung Chun Lam (5B), Wong Kin Man (5C) and Phoebe Chan (5E)! They won the WYNG-Philomathia Essay Contest and recently returned from a trip to Trinity Hall at Cambridge University. This annual writing competition is adjudicated by the university, and co-organized by WYNG Foundation, Philomathia Foundation and Hong Kong Association of Careers Masters and Guidance Masters. Participants write a 1000-word English essay on the theme of the WMA photography competition called 2013 – Air. Canadian Computing Competition 2015

Our Computer Programming Team has another feather in their cap. On March 5, Wan Ha Lui (5E) was named champion for the second consecutive year, Poon Wing Sze (4C) was first runner-up and Tzu Yin Ching Queenie (5B) came fifth in the junior category of the prestigious Canadian Computing Competition 2015. The three students brought home Certificates of Distinction while team mates, Wai Yau Chik (5A) and Choi Wai Yan (5C) won Certificates of Merit, and Leung Lok Chin (5D) earned Honorable Mention in this annual event jointly organized by the University of Waterloo in Canada and University of Hong...

Programmed for success

Congratulations to our Computer Programming Team! Wan Ha Lui (5E) brought home our first silver medal in the Hong Kong Olympiad in Informatics (Senior Category). Her team mates, Leung Lok Chin (5D) and Lee Ka Shun (6B) won Bronze medals in the senior category while Poon Wing Sze (4C) and Choi Wai Yan (5C) won the same in the junior category. Hang Lung Mathematics Award 2014

Congratulations to our Mathematics Team! Members, Josephine Leung Yik Chong (6A, 2014) and Chloe Lui Wai Shan (6D, 2014), won Honorable Mention in the Hang Lung Mathematics Awards 2014.Since 2012, the pair had designed and carried out a mathematics project titled "The Application of Graph Theory to Sudoku", under the supervision of Mr Lee Tad Ming and Ms Man Sze Wan. Their paper was submitted for competition last July, and after going through a rigorous, multi-step review process, the team impressed the judges and made the school proud.
