Every year, the ECA Committee organizes a training camp for student leaders in the Student Association and the Inter-house Committee to better manage their upcoming tasks and deliver quality activities for the benefit of their schoolmates at large. This year, the training camp lasted for 3 days, from 30 September to 2 October 2016. The Boys' & Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong was invited to develop the multifaceted mode of learning that included activities, such as experiential games, case studies, adventure-based activities, group discussions etc. Students were quick to grasp the essence of these new concepts and apply them in their future endeavour.

In a solemn ceremony, teachers and students of Ying Wa Girls' School gathered on 28 September for the hoisting of the national flag, marking the 67th anniversary of the motherland.  The Civic Education Committee invited students to share their thoughts on the 150^th anniversary of Dr. Sun Yat-sen's birthday. Dr. Sun, the founding father of the republic rule in China, developed his democratic thoughts and political career in Hong Kong in the late 19^th and early 20^th century. Students were inspired and motivated to learn more about the role of Hong Kong in China's modernization.

The Blessed  50 Years of Reverend C.C. Lee’s Ordination 
The Thanksgiving Dinner Organizing Committee is deeply touched by the overwhelming response of alumnae interested in the dinner on 19 November 2016. 
 
As all places for the dinner in the school hall at Shamshuipo have been filled, we regret that we have no choice but to disappoint some of our closest alumnae. We appreciate your understanding and promise to pass on your best wishes to Reverend Lee.
