A Visit to the Hong Kong Palace Museum

The Chinese History Department and the History Department organised a visit to Hong Kong Palace Museum for fifteen students from S2 to S6.  In the visit, students were split into different groups to explore 10 most memorable items of their own.  Following this task, they had to develop a plan to promote the museum to fellow students, in the hope of helping them become more self-motivated and interested in learning history.  Not only did they enjoy the visit through interactive activities offered by the museum, but they also developed a sense of mission to promote cultural activities and Chinese history in school.

The National Flag Hoisting Ceremony was held on June 24, 2022 to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People’s Republic of China.  The Civic Education Committee chose the theme of “The Challenges and Opportunities of the HKSAR” to cultivate students’ sense of national identity.  It is our hope that students could develop deeper understanding towards the Greater Bay Area and realize how Hong Kong’s status as an international financial centre and an important transportation hub in the Asian Pacific Rim could both seek opportunities from and make contributions to the Greater Bay Area.
