High Achievers’ Award 2019-20 (Second Term)
It has been an unusual academic year with school suspension from February to May due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Despite the epidemic, God has always been taking care of us and providing us with more than what we expect. Under the guidance of God, all teachers were able to carry out online lessons smoothly and engage students with the new mode of virtual learning.

Speech Day 2020 (Album 2)
The annual Speech Day was held on July 7 at the Silcocks Hall. Our Principal, Mr Kwan Hon Cheung Francis, welcomed parents and congratulated all graduates on their successful completion of their secondary school education. He was grateful for the unswerving support of two incumbent and retiring members of the Incorporated Management Committee (IMC). They were Ms Lam Lai Bing Alison, an alumna and IMC moderator and Ms Chan Yin Hung Kuby, who has been serving in the IMC since 2013.

Art Exhibition: The World of Imaginary
An art exhibition by our senior form visual art students was held in the Artland Gallery in Wanchai. Twenty-one pieces of artwork, including paintings in acrylic and watercolour, drawings in ink and pen, ceramics, found objects with mixed media art, were on display. Visitors were able to immerge themselves into 'the world of imaginary’.

Public Speaking (Cantonese) Activity 2020
The Chinese Department and the Civic Education Committee jointly organised a Cantonese public speaking activity in order to develop students’ multiple and critical thinking skills. Due to class suspension at the beginning of the second term, the activity was organised online. A total of ten students from both junior and senior forms took part in the activity.

Special Announcement for Anniversary Musical Performance
Dear alumnae and friends of Ying Wa,
In the midst of the novel coronavirus outbreak, I hope you are safe and sound, and find strength, faith and comfort in our Heavenly Father. Let's pray that the epidemic will be brought under control and those infected will recover soon.
To safeguard the health of all participants and reduce the risk of the spread of the coronavirus in the community, the school's 120th Anniversary Fund-raising Musical Performance 'A Stargazer's Fantasy' originally scheduled on 4 & 5 July at the Lyric Theatre will be shelved.

Champion - Personal Protective Equipment Design Competition
Three S2 students joined the Personal Protective Equipment Design Competition organized by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and won the championship. The competition aimed at designing personal protective equipment in order to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. Our students designed a device which helps to press lift buttons by using the flashlight function of smartphones. As a result, no direct contact of their fingers is needed.

High Achievers’ Award 2019-2020 (First Term)
Students from S1 to S5 with outstanding academic results in the first term of 2019-2020 received recognition for their diligence and dedication to their studies. All students are encouraged to emulate their exemplary performance.
The awards were given to junior form students who ranked among the top three of each class and of each form. As for senior form students, the awards went to those who ranked the top of each subject.
