Summer STEM Workshops
Three STEM workshops, under the categories of robotics soccer, drone coding and Artificial Intelligence (AI) robotics car, were held from July 15 to 21 for the S1 to S3. Students had hands-on experience in assembling robots and learnt coding and AI technology. The activities raised students’ interest in STEM and allowed them to learn more about the new technology in a fun and enjoyable way.

Annual General Meeting 2021 (SA & Inter-house)
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the 72nd Student Association (Metanoia) and the 30th Inter-house Committee (Polaris) was held smoothly on July 12. Due to the pandemic, both Metanoia and Polaris had been working extremely hard throughout the whole year in order to fulfill their commitments by adjusting some events to the online mode. All activities could proceed smoothly with the unfailing support from teacher advisors. In the concluding remarks, our Principal, Mr Francis Kwan, not only praised their tremendous effort, but he also commended the audience for their well-thought questions. He further encouraged students to cherish every moment and to live out the spirit of “to serve but not to be served”.

End-of-term Service 2021
The school term drew to a close on 14 July with the End-of-term Service held in the morning in two separate sessions (junior and senior forms). Our principal, Mr Francis Kwan, delivered an invigorating speech on the recent events of the school. He devoted thanks to teachers who are leaving the school on retirement or embarking on a new chapter in their lives. He also shared his heartfelt gratitude to the staff members who contributed a lot in the recent school events. He urged all YW girls to strive for their very best and be confident for their own development.

《綴文樂2021》
《綴文樂》是由英華女學校中文科及自學中心合作的中文文集,每年七月出版。每位英華員生,均會獲贈乙本。縱然今年在校課堂學習受疫情影響,但在師生的共同努力下,《綴文樂2021》亦已順利出版。
《綴文樂2021》從設計封面,到內裡的一字一句,都是老師和同學心血。當中主要收錄了同學的投稿,同時亦刊登了徵文比賽的優勝作品。出版《綴文樂》的目的是希望鼓勵同學創作,為同學提供一個互相觀摩及學習的機會。《綴文樂》將同學的作品結集成書, 對小作家而言,無疑是一大鼓舞,令他們更加堅定自己的創作信念。

Prize Presentation Ceremony 2021
The Prize Presentation Ceremony was held on 12 July. Many scholarships, awards and certificates were given out to students in recognition of their accomplishments in both academic pursuits and other activities throughout the year.

STEM+E Competition 2021
Co-organized by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and the STEM+E Consortium, the STEM+E Competition 2021 was held at the Hong Kong Science Park. 50 secondary schools and more than 300 students took part in the competition. Participants had to form groups with students from other schools and each group had to present a business start-up proposal with new technologies and marketing strategies. Every participant also had the chance to meet up with start-up founders and business consultants.

Kick-off Ceremony of the Movie Gala (Album 4)
A Kick-off Ceremony opened the curtain for our fundraising Movie Gala – ‘ To My 19-year-old Self '. The ceremony was held on July 10, 2021 at the Mrs So Chau Yim Ping Memorial Hall of our Breezy Path Campus, aiming at introducing the upcoming movie ' To My 19-year-old Self ' and raising funds for student development. It is our hope that students can stretch their potential and explore various opportunities available in the 21st century. Ms Dorothy Wong, Chairlady of the Fundraising Committee, and our Principal, Mr Francis Kwan, shared the visions of the fundraising project and the latest development of the school.
