Thanksgiving Service 2017
Our annual Thanksgiving Service was held on 24 November. On this special occasion, we were very honoured to have Miss Ching Kai Ming, an alumna, as our guest speaker.
In her speech, she talked about the three most precious gifts she has received in her life — studying in Ying Wa, receiving a university education, and playing the harp, all of which are the blessings from God. She fondly recalled praying together as a family before her admission interview at Ying Wa Kindergarten. It turned out to be the first of many exciting and rewarding experiences in her life.
Sponsored Walk 2017
With superb weather on the morning on 18 November, the Sponsored Walk was held as one of the highlights of the Thanksgiving Week. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to St. Stephen's Girls' College for the use of their school hall for our kick-off ceremony for the fifth year running. We also appreciate the assistance of a team of dedicated parent and alumna volunteers who served as first-aiders and road-safety wardens along the route. Thanks to the support of students, volunteers, the Police and many others, we all managed to complete our annual walk safely before 12:30 pm, and in the process, raised $387,129.60, of which $280,000 would be donated to 20 charitable organizations while the balance would go to the School Redevelopment Fund.

Thanksgiving
Ying Wa has a much cherished tradition to give thanks to the Lord during Thanksgiving. A set of posters were designed by Ms Man Sze Wan, our Mathematics Panel Chairperson and member of the Religious Committee, to help us reflect on the goodness of God and His kindness to us.
